NFTY-STR Spring Kallah

Spend an amazing weekend with your NFTY-STR community. Be prepared to participate in creative programs, meet new people and learn something new about yourself. Spring Kallah promises to be a wonderful event filled with laughter, community, trust and friendship. Get ready to celebrate Shabbat, interact in programs, enjoy shira and bid our seniors farewell.

At home hosted events such as this, participants stay at congregant homes. The host family provides two meals, a space for sleeping, which could include and is not limited to the floor or a sofa, reliable transportation to and from the synagogue or program location. Each host home has a minimum of three teens that are approved by the senior leadership of the host congregation.

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 8 to 12.

  • Meals included in the cost of the event.
  • Registration will be accepted after February 21, 2018 on a space-available basis.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.

Travel is arranged by your local congregation/temple youth group advisor. Please be in touch with them directly to determine your travel or if you have any travel related questions.

Teens are not permitted to drive themselves to and from an event or to a bus stop/synagogue before or after the event. All teens must be dropped off and picked up by a parent, guardian, or an adult. This is NFTY policy to ensure the safety and well-being of our teens.

Please be sure that is added to your approved email list so that you receive all important email updates!

Participants are expected to bring both Shabbat and casual clothing, and are encouraged to bring spending money for NFTY items and travel. Please leave valuables at home. Do not bring jewelry, electronic devices or large amounts of cash. Each participant is responsible for his/her belongings. NFTY, the Union for Reform Judaism, Union affiliated congregations, and bus companies used by NFTY are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through February 15, 2018 – 90% of the registration fees paid
Through February 22, 2018 – 75% of the registration fees paid
Through March 1, 2018 – 50% of the registration fees paid

After March 1, 2018 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after March 1, 2018 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid. Please note that we cannot offer credits in exchange of refunds.

All cancellation must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.
